RE: Smokie Mtn Campground

Hello, I usually go to the smokies every fall and I stay in Townsend,Tn.It is known as the peaceful side of the smokies. There are several campgrounds in the area and it is just outside of Cades Cove.It is about 18 miles from Gatlinburg and away from the all the traffic and noise. There is a nice bike trail and river tubing for the kids and some nice trout fishing.Check it out I think you will like it...Jim

West Yellowstone to the Tetons

I am going to be at Grizzley in west Yellowstone in May.I am going to drive the toad to the Tetons and was hoping for some advice on the best route.Someone was talking about going on the west side.Which would be better back through the yellowstone park or through Idaho.Any help would be greatly appreciated...Jim

RE: Townsend TN

I camped there one year ago last fall and loved it.Personally I did not like the riverfront site because they were so close to the main road and it was a lot of traffic noise but they do have some riverfront in another section they had added on that wasn't that bad.Their sites have a little more room than some of the other campgrounds.Last year I camped at Big Meadow and it was also good.

RE: Need advice on Civil War trip planning

If you get anywhere around Birmingham,Alabama try Tannehill Historical park. They still have the Foundry and civil war museum there. It is a state park with lots of history in it.I think you will love it.

RE: Fall Creek Falls in TN

It has been a couple of years since I have been to Fall Creek Falls but it is a great place to hike and the scenery is great. You might want to check out Tennessee State Parks web site for more details. The camp grounds are separated some what "A B"and so on but I think D is the only one with full hookups...Happy Camping...

Grizzly Rv Park

We will be going to Grizzly Rv Park in May and I was wanting to know which sites would be better "pull threw" or "back in" Someone was talking about the south side "back ins".I am sure they would be more private but are they practical for a 36 foot motor home...Thanks in advance
